Holidays by Design

If you are at loose ends on Saturday night or have plans with stylish friends, do stop by the Holidays by Design.  The silent auction will include holiday decorations, wreaths and centerpieces by some of Kansas City's top designers.  (Bid high and you might end up with a creation by David Jimenez; a little bird told me he's soon to be published in a pretty jazzy national magazine.)  It's sure to be a chic and creative crowd.

In your opinion, who are the top designers in Kansas City?

Oh, gosh, this could be a can of worms. George Terbovich is flawless. I adore Kathy Kelly's work, though she does primarily commercial projects now she did one of my very favorite private homes. And, Ben Sundemeier. Those three, in no particular order, are my favorites. That being said, there are lots, lots of designers whose work I have not had the pleasure of seeing. In addition, George, Kathy and Ben are all very nice people which endears them to me even more.

I'd love to hear other people's opinions!

Patricia, a favorite designer of mine, Kurt Knapstein, has his own Plaza Condominium featured in this months Spaces magazine. You're article on Interior Design books in same issue is wonderful!
