I Spy

I know I am a broken record.

But often when I am uninspired I head over to see what Steven Gambrel has been doing.

He's got a new number under Town.

That entry is memorable for many reasons.

But I am intrigued by how often the circle in the square repeat throughout the rooms.

  1. you're always so good at spotting those details and pointing them out. I was just going along thinking, the usual, 'fabulous. gorge. lovely.' and then you pointed out the repeat--made me go back through and see them from a different angle.

  6. Patricia, such a sharp observation. I'm delighted by the child's room. Love his approach to using the chalkboard panels.

  7. The orange enameled and steel buffet (or is it a wet bar?) is my favorite!

  8. Patricia, the difference is in the details, and you always seem to see the continuity. That is where the artist in a designer emerges.

  9. Dorothy Draper goes industrial? Love the shapes. Very ancient in concept. Very modern in application.

  14. Thank you for pointing this out! I think it looks very French and new for Steven Gambrel. Loved the orange ceiling in the wood paneled room. Sitting in my townhouse on Capitol Hill in DC wondering if I could do that!
