Prom Night

As a follow up to the DIFFA Holidays by Design post, I offer this. Shortly after posting my wardrobe dilemma a fellow board member emailed to say, "The board members agreed at the last meeting that we would wear all black," thus eliminating either jazzy choice. Fortunately, Mr. Blandings and I had an event last night that gave the sequined leopard an evening out. I think she had fun.

My dad was in town. He's a photographer. What can I say?

(And the neckline is PERFECT I think it's the ONLY one that would work with that particular dress... the designer made a GREAT choice, too!

Such a SPECIAL PIC!!!!!! Glad you shared it with us!!! (As I sit here feeling n' looking like a slug, cuz DH flew out EARLY this a.m. & I never really got AROUND to "prettying up" for the day!!!)~

I hope the very dapper Mr. B. instructed all the Blandings boys to tell their Mother how gorgeous she looked! In our house it is the highest praise a girl can receive.

Mrs. B, you and your groom look lovely. (Go dad the photographer)
I could only hope to wear a glam dress on a bias... you pulled it off...my Spanks would be showing a crease somewhere, I just know. Sister, you were the belle of the ball. You had to be.

You both look gorgeous – the leopard is practically EDIBLE [growl!] – but if I may offer a word of advice it would be: proper evening shoes for Mr. B. They don't have to be pumps, but they should be patent.

Mrs. Blandings said...

Anon - I completely agree. I've brought it up. SEVERAL times. And I just brought it up again. Stony silence. We'll keep working on him, you and I.

Mrs. Blandings,

My thoughts have been on this dress for weeks ever since you solicited comments from your readers. But I've not been back since due to one thing and another. Now, to finally witness you and Mr. Blandings in all your magnificence just made my heart leap.

As E&E says, "real" evening clothes.
Dashing indeed.
