Between driving my children hither and yon, I make these secret escapes.
"I have to run an errand. I won't be gone long. I have my cell." I call as I head out the door.
Like a sixteen-year-old I am suddenly behind the wheel and free.
I was out and about yesterday at Nick Carter's on Main in Kansas City. He has loads of great stuff, but some particularly good lighting. I have my eye on a lamp that I just might have "forgotten" to post here.

HA! THAT sounds familiar!! Great lighting!
I love going to NIcks shop or stoping by his booth at River Market. He always has great finds. Unfortunately I don't make it in often enough.
You are so funny, love it-I needed that.
Sounds very familiar!
Please explain exactly how the "pagoda/parasol" light fixtures fit together. The mix is great. Be well--summer has just begun. Mary
once again, your entry today is so right. Yes, the giddy feeling when you escape, even if just for a little while, and just a little "looking." Now that my darling girls are grown and on their own (so to speak), I now find myself having that giddy feeling when I escape from retired hubby!
Wonderful Patricia I must make a "quick" errand to Nick's.

The two tiered parasol light shades are enchanting, I borrowed that picture for my inspiration files......Kathi

I know the feeling! Only now, I am also sneaking away from a 5-month-old Golden Retriever puppy who loves to go bye-bye; for some unknown reason, he is very well-behaved in public. Wish I could take him with me more times than not. Even if I don't buy anything, I do find ideas! I return home feeling inspired.
vintage!:D
This was one of my favorite images, too. Oh, the excitement ahead. I love your blog
